Palmetto GBA is unable to offer a Web-based online eligibility service at this time. However, we are currently working with CMS to get approval to provide this and other secure provider services online.
Palmetto GBA providers can access Medicare patient eligibility information by phone through our Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system, as well as through the ANSI 270/271 transaction. Some providers can directly access their shared processing system using Direct Data Entry (DDE) or Professional Provider Telecommunications Network (PPTN) systems to retrieve eligibility information.
