Palmetto GBA’s Learning and Education area provides many ways to meet your training and development needs. A wide variety of courses and training options are available to providers of Medicare services and other Medicare partners who wish to enhance their Medicare knowledge and learn about the newest developments in billing and services.
The following are types of learning and education offered by Palmetto GBA:
Workshops
Palmetto GBA offers online registration for our in-person workshops. Workshops may include classes, seminars or open medical policy meetings. The workshop page allows you to:
- View a course calendar to locate and select the workshop you would like to attend.
- View detailed course descriptions
- Download handouts and course materials before the day of the workshop
- View directions to the workshop
- Register directly online for workshops
Online Learning Center
The Online Learning Center is a portal to your customized learning space. Here are some of the tools available within the Learning Center:
Tutorials
Tutorials are computer-based training courses offered directly on our Web site. Courses are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to meet your schedule. The student will successfully complete courses by reading information and interacting with the Web-based tools. A scored quiz or evaluation will follow each tutorial to test your knowledge.
Online Workshops
Online workshops enable virtual classrooms and real-time group collaboration over the Internet. By incorporating features such as audio conferencing, application sharing, and chat room, our on-line workshops simulate an instructor-led physical classroom environment. This innovative technology allows Palmetto GBA to deliver training to large numbers of geographically dispersed providers without providers incurring travel costs. Recordings of many of the live workshops are also available.
