The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) is delaying the deployment of the NPI Registry and the dissemination of FOIA-disclosable health care provider data from the National Plan and Provider Enumeration System (NPPES). Additional information will be forthcoming on the Data Dissemination section on the
CMS NPI Web page.

CMS NPI Web page. Providers can apply for an NPI online at
https://nppes.cms.hhs.gov or can call the NPI enumerator to request a paper application at (800) 465-3203.
