Beginning in April 2009, the CERT Review Contractor or CRC, AdvanceMed, began reexamining medical records for some claims that had been previously reviewed. These claims were processed by Palmetto GBA between April 1, 2008, and March 31, 2009.
You may receive a CERT letter, identified as a 'Request for Additional Documentation' and/or a telephone call asking you to provide more specific medical records related to these follow-up reviews. These are not duplicate requests. Please supply the information to the CERT contractor by the response date specified in the letter.
