Medicare Remit EasyPrint (MREP) Software download for Ohio & West Virginia Part B
Medicare Remit EasyPrint (MREP) version 2.7 is available for download. You can save time and money by taking advantage of free Medicare Remit EasyPrint software now available to view and print the HIPAA compliant 835. The MREP software gives providers the following abilities:
- Easy navigation and viewing of the ERA using your personal computer
- Print the ERA in the Standard Paper Remittance (SPR) format
- Search capability that allows providers the ability to find claims information easily
- Print and export reports about ERAs including denied, adjusted and deductible applied claims
- Easy-to-use method to archive, restore and delete imported ERAs
Providers can view and print as many or as few claims as needed. This will be especially helpful when you need to print only one claim from the remittance advice when forwarding the claim to a secondary payer. This free software can save you time resolving Medicare claim issues. Take advantage of the MREP features unavailable with the SPR.
Note: Before completing the MREP Software Download Form, you must have been assigned a Submitter ID and be set up to receive ANSI 835 files. To request both a Submitter ID and electronic remittances, please complete the EDI Enrollment Forms for OH / WV Part B. If you have been assigned a Submitter ID but currently do not receive electronic remittances, please complete the EDI Provider Change Form for OH / WV Part B.
If you are downloading a newer version, you must uninstall the current version of the software before you install the newer version. Please follow the Instructions for Uninstalling MREP Software (PDF, 116 KB) located on the CMS Web site.
To complete the MREP Software Download form, please follow these instructions.
1. Access the Download Form for MREP below. Complete all fields completely and correctly. Forms submitted with required information missing will not be processed. Required fields are noted with an asterisk (*).

If there is a problem with processing your request form, such as an invalid Submitter ID or information in a required field is missing, an error page will appear. Please click on 'Back to Download Request Page' to resubmit the download form.
2. After you have successfully completed the Download Form, click on the 'Submit' button. You will be directed to a CMS Web page to download software and manuals. Click on the Medicare Remit EasyPrint (MREP) link located on the left side of the page.
Palmetto GBA recommends users print the "Medicare Remit EasyPrint User Guide (PDF)" and "Download Instructions for Local PC EasyPrint (PDF)" for download and installation instructions prior to downloading the software file. Network users should download the "Download Instructions for Network EasyPrint (PDF)" file. The "Medicare Remit EasyPrint Demo (PDF)" provides an overview of the software and functions.
Follow the download and installation instructions to access the Medicare Remit EasyPrint (ZIP) software file. During the installation process, you may encounter a message regarding .NET Framework.
The default selection page can be confusing so Palmetto GBA recommends you select 'No' and instead, access .NET Framework from this link on our Web page. Next to 'Estimated Download Time,' select the most time efficient connection available to your system. After you have installed .NET Framework, return to the software file location to begin installation of your MREP software.
Note: The Remittance Advice Remark Codes (RARCs) and Claim Adjustment Reason Codes (CARCs) must be downloaded from the Washington Publishing Company (WPC) Web site to be used in conjunction with the updated MREP Software.
The MREP software will be periodically updated as needed. To be notified of an updated software version, please register on the Palmetto GBA Web site. By selecting E-mail Updates and completing a user profile, you will be notified via e-mail when new or important EDI information is added to our Web site. If you have already registered, please ensure your profile has been updated for all new applicable EDI categories, including the EDI topic located under the Ohio and West Virginia Part B category.
