Palmetto GBA has experienced a payment cycle delay for all Part A providers in South Carolina as well as all home health and hospice providers serviced by Palmetto GBA. All payments, including Periodic Interim Payment (PIP) and Passthrough, scheduled to pay Friday, October 9, 2009, will not pay as scheduled. Since Monday, October 12, 2009, is a federal holiday, the earliest we anticipate making the payments is Tuesday, October 13, 2009. We currently do not have a definitive time for when these payments will be made as the systems issue has not yet been corrected. We will send another message on or before October 13, 2009, letting you know the status of the fix to the system and when payments can be expected.
