Periodic Interim Payment (PIP)/Passthrough Payments Scheduled for June 6, 2008

For providers that receive either PIP or Passthrough payments, the PIP and Passthrough payments scheduled to be made Friday, June 6, 2008 cannot be issued due to a system's problem. All Medicare contractors on HIGLAS are experiencing this issue. A Fiscal Intermediary Shared System (FISS) system correction is being installed over the weekend. The installation of the program should create PIP and Passthrough payments that will be dated Thursday, June 12, 2008. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.
