Effective November 1, 2009, Palmetto GBA will cover Renessa™, an FDA approved office-based treatment of female SUI due to hypermobility. Coverage is limited to patients who have failed conservative treatment and do not wish to have, or are not candidates for, surgical therapy.
Physicians performing the Renessa™ procedure must have proof of adequate training (either a certificate from the manufacturer or equivalent certification).
Submit claims with CPT code 0193T. This procedure is covered once per lifetime.
