Medicare Secondary Payer: Billing Part B MSP Claims Webcast: A POE A/B MAC Collaborative Event
Wednesday, November 20, 2019, at 11 a.m. ET
Medicare secondary payer (MSP) is a term used when Medicare is not the beneficiary's primary health insurance coverage. Providers are responsible to determine whether Medicare is the primary payer or not, as well as billing appropriately for the services and/or supplies provided to Medicare beneficiaries. Billing MSP claims to Part B can be difficult at times.
This event is the sixth in a series of webcasts designed in collaboration with the A/B Medicare Administrative Contractors (MACs) to educate Medicare providers on the fundamentals of the MSP program.
Topics for this webcast will include:
• Part B billing options
• Claim submission/billing situations
• Common denials and how to avoid them
