Palmetto GBA Wins Columbia Chamber IT Awards

Palmetto GBA has been awarded two Palmetto Pillar Awards by the Columbia Chamber of Commerce for innovation in the field of information technology.

“We’re very pleased to be the recipients of two awards this year,” said Nella Bishop, Palmetto GBA’s chief information officer and vice president for systems and support. “Both of the awards demonstrate our continued commitment to developing innovative solutions to deliver the best service and value to our customers.”

One award was for the company’s Interactive Voice Recognition ROBO Call application. It has automated and shortened the process of providing durable medical equipment suppliers with enrollment and claims information. Palmetto GBA was also recognized with a Pillar Award for its Cognitive Medical Review System. This application gives providers concise claim reviews with timely reporting and detailed information.

Palmetto GBA was also named a finalist in the “Innovation in Application Development” category for its Competitive Bidding Implementation Contractor Bid Evaluation System.

The Columbia Chamber’s Palmetto Pillar Awards program annually honors a number of technology leaders, innovators and IT executives for their outstanding vision, leadership and support of technology initiatives in the Midlands.
