Description
Line reject reason code 31814 assigns when there is a "Q" in the HCPCS fee indicator field on the HCPC file and charges are billed as covered.
Resolution
No provider corrections necessary. This is a valid processing reason code which does not reflect incorrect billing. G-codes and related modifiers are required on selected claims for all outpatient therapy services. These are not payable by Medicare.
