On September 11, 2017, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) again awarded Palmetto GBA the Front-End System (FES), formerly Customer Service Front End Systems, contract.
Under the FES contract, Palmetto GBA supports the Medicare Advantage (MA) and Prescription Drug Plans (PDP) with their submission of Encounter Data, Risk Adjustment Data, and Prescription Drug Event transactions. Palmetto GBA provides the EDI Gateway for submission of over 4 billion transactions annually and provides customer service to the MA and PDP plans nationally.
