If my application is denied, when may I reapply to the program?


Answer:
According to Pub 100-08 - Medicare Program Integrity Manual - Chapter 10 (PDF), a provider or supplier denied enrollment in the Medicare program cannot submit a new enrollment application until one of the following has occurred:

  • If a reapplication bar was issued, the provider or supplier may reapply after the bar has expired
  • If no reapplication bar exists and the denial was not appealed, the provider or supplier may reapply after its appeal rights have lapsed or if appealed, after it received notification the determination was upheld
