The Medicare A/B Contractor CERT Task Force is a joint effort of the Part A/B Medicare Administrative Contractors (MACs) to communicate national issues of concern regarding improper payments to the Medicare program. By working together to educate Medicare providers on numerous topics affecting most providers, the group shares the goal of reducing the national improper payment rate as measured by the Comprehensive Error Rate Testing (CERT) program. The education is intended to complement ongoing efforts of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the Medicare Learning Network (MLN), and the MACs individual error-reduction activities within its jurisdictions.
Palmetto GBA has designated task force members on the A/B Contractor Task Force and we will be sharing CERT Task Force education material as it becomes available.
