What should I do if I receive a message that the eligibility system is unavailable?

eServices uses CMS's HETS 270/271 system, as required by CMS, for all eligibility inquiries. The eligibility function is generally available 24/7 except during established eServices and HETS maintenance. Standard eServices maintenance times are listed on the Support tab. CMS publishes upcoming HETS maintenance notifications to their website. If you receive this error outside of a maintenance window, please try your request again. Please contact your Medicare Contractor if you continue to experience issues.
