What are the differences between using Twitter to receive listserv messages and using email?

  • Listserv emails are sent each evening around 8 p.m. ET. Twitter messages will be sent around 8 a.m. ET next day.
  • Listserv emails are filtered through special categories. Twitter messages for each jurisdiction will not be broken down into special categories (e.g., 'Part A: General' versus 'Part A: Hospitals'). Everyone following a particular area will receive each day’s messages for the entire jurisdiction.
  • Listserv email messages do not have a character limit. Twitter messages are limited to 140 characters. This means they’ll be shorter. Both email and Twitter listserv messages will link you to the same article on the Palmetto GBA website.
