No, claims that have been rejected should be corrected and resubmitted as new claims. Rejected claims can be identified by Remittance Advice Remark Code (RARC) MA130 — Your claim contains incomplete and/or invalid information, and no appeal rights are afforded because the claim is unprocessable. Please submit a new claim with the complete/correct information.
If you need assistance determining why your claim rejected, check the Palmetto GBA Denial Resolution Tool by selecting the Tools button on the top of this web page. The Denial Resolution Tool is alphabetized by type of service and reason for denial/rejection. After checking this tool, if you need assistance to understand why your claim was rejected as unprocessable, call the Provider Contact Center at 888-355-9165. Choose option 5 for Customer Service.
