The DDE Region is experiencing performance issues due to vendor and customer scripting for DDE ID users. This 'scripting' is affecting all DDE ID users. To help reduce region performance issues, the following changes to all scripting is being required effective July 1, 2018.

If scripting is being used to automate DDE ID access and any functions within the system, the following requirements must be implemented no later than July 1, 2018. After this date, any DDE IDs that are not following the requirements listed below will be deactivated until the scripting is corrected.

  1. When logging into the region, only Login to TPX once.
  2. When logging into an A/B MAC region, only Login to region once and process all claims needing review before logging out.
  3. Between all 'PF' and 'Enter' key entries, a five second pause is required.
  4. For new HIC or MBI option, do not check for P and D status for finalized claims. This will reduce the number of screens scraped.
  5. Claim Status location scraping for the following is no longer allowed:
    1. a. SB9000 – SB9099: This will reduce the number of screens scraped.
    2. b. SB6000 – SB6001: This will reduce the number of screens scraped. The information can be scraped from the ADR screen.
  6. Do not screen scrape every page of a claim each time you view the claim. We recommend only scraping the status of the claim being accessed for the attached claim locations, since no other changes would have been made to the claim and scraping only impacts performance of the system. The DDE Status Location document (PDF, 2 MB) includes a list of link of approved status and location codes.
