Did You Know DME MACs Offer Resources for Physicians?

Your A/B MAC Provider Outreach and Education staff collaborates with the Durable Medical Equipment (DME) MACs to provide Medicare information from the provider and the DME supplier perspective. In addition to joint education opportunities, the DME MACs maintain a special section on their websites specific to physicians, nonphysician practitioners and clinicians.

These web pages include links to "Dear Physician" letters authored by the DME MAC medical directors, documentation checklists for widely ordered Durable Medical Equipment, Prosthetics, Orthotics, and Supplies (DMEPOS) items, short videos on pertinent DME topics and equipment categories, and the “Physicians! Are You Ordering…” article series.
