Comprehensive Error Rate Testing (CERT), Bridging the Gap to Better Outcomes  
10:30 – 11:45 a.m. ET

The CERT Program is designed to discuss improper payments in the Medicare Fee-for-Service program. CERT selects a sample of claims submitted during each reporting period. This session is designed to provide education on reducing error rates for the CMS-implemented process for improper payments in the Medicare Fee-for Service Program.

2021 Request for Anticipated Payment (RAP) Process
10:30 – 11:45 a.m. ET

This session is designed to provide education and updates for the Calendar Year (CY) 2021 Home Health (HH) Request for Anticipated Payment (RAP) policies and information on the one-time Notice of Admission (NOA), which will eliminate RAP submissions for every period starting January 1, 2022.

Hospice General Inpatient (GIP)
12:30 – 1:45 p.m. ET

Hospice General Inpatient Care (GIP) is for pain control or symptom management provided in an inpatient facility that cannot be managed in other settings. This session is appropriate for all hospice staff and will discuss the regulatory aspects of GIP, when GIP is appropriate, Office of Inspector General findings and documentation tips.

Are You Familiar with the Other Medicare Contractors?
2 – 3:15 p.m. ET

This session will take a closer look at five of the Medicare Contractors: Comprehensive Error Rate Testing (CERT), Unified Program Integrity Contractor (UPIC), Supplemental Medical Review Contractor (SMRC), Qualified Independent Contractor (QIC), Quality Improvement Organization (QIO), and Recovery Audit Contractor (RAC). Participants will understand the purpose of each Medicare Contractor, how to properly respond, points of contact and other tips, if applicable.

Part B MayFest: Palmetto GBA Website Tutorial and Ask in Chat

This session gives providers a tour through the new website organization and navigation structure, the new pages for popular topics, and some additional enhancements that will improve your website experience. After the session, we will hold an open chat session which allows providers to ask questions using the ON24 Q & A box while representatives from Appeals, eServices, Provider Enrollment and the PCC/Concierge team are available to assist with general questions.
